If you hit on the beat but hear the song — or your score — a little behind, something between the computer and your ears is adding delay. It is rarely the kit: the USB MIDI message is almost instant.

The usual cause: the speaker

Bluetooth speakers and headphones add a noticeable delay, often a tenth of a second or more. The music reaches you late, so you play late to match it.

How to fix it

1. Use wired headphones or speakers on the computer's own output. This removes most of the delay.
2. Calibrate. In DRUMY's pause menu, run Tap along with the click: hit a pad on each click, and the game learns how late your sound is and allows for it.
3. Close other audio apps that might be processing the sound.

Then play a song again: the judgement of each hit should match what you feel.
